Who we are
Matchup Room is operated by Point Made LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("we", "us"). Questions or requests: matchuproom@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, Google also shares your name and profile picture with us; we don't ask Google for anything else (no contacts, no Gmail, no Drive).
- What you save. Teams and rosters you save, your lineup settings and your scoring format.
- Leagues you import. If you import a Sleeper or ESPN league, we read your league's settings, rosters, schedule and waiver budget so we can show your matchup, waivers and trade ideas. We only read; we never post, trade or change anything in your league.
- ESPN connection (private leagues). If you connect a private ESPN league, we save the two ESPN sign-in codes ESPN uses to let you view it (espn_s2 and SWID). They're encrypted before they're stored, only our server can read them, they're never shown back to your browser, and we use them only to read that league. Tap Disconnect on My Team to delete them at any time; deleting your account deletes them too. They are not your ESPN password, and ESPN may expire them. If you share a league invite link, leaguemates who open it can view that same league in Matchup Room through your connection (nothing else in your ESPN account); disconnecting ESPN turns those links off.
- Payment status. If you buy Premium, Stripe processes the payment. We receive and keep your Stripe customer ID, your plan, whether it's active and when it renews or ends. We don't receive or store your full card number.
- On your device. The app stores a few things in your browser (local storage) so it works: your sign-in session, your preferences, the players you're comparing, and how many free start/sit checks you've used this week. We don't use advertising cookies.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request information (such as IP address, browser type and time) to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To give you Premium features you've paid for and to save your teams across devices.
- To send emails you need, like sign-in links, receipts and important account or policy notices.
- For Full Room members with a saved team: lineup alerts when a starter is ruled out before kickoff. You can turn these off in the app (My Team → Lineup alerts).
- To fix problems, prevent abuse and improve Matchup Room.
We won't send you marketing emails from your account unless you opt in. (Our separate waitlist and newsletter at matchuproom.com has its own sign-up and unsubscribe link.)
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use a few service providers to run Matchup Room, and they only get what they need to do that job:
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in and our database.
- Stripe: payments and billing (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Resend: sends our emails (sign-in links and lineup alerts).
- GitHub: runs the scheduled jobs that update the data and send lineup alerts.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business (in which case this policy would still apply to your information).
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete your account and saved teams within 30 days. We keep payment records as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and change your saved teams in the app, and sign out at any time.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time in the app: tap your account, then Delete my account. It removes your account, saved teams, league connections, alerts and phone notifications right away, and stops any renewing plan.
- You can also ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing matchuproom@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them.
- If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Matchup Room's access in your Google Account settings.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep payment details with Stripe, and lock down our database so each person can only reach their own data. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Matchup Room is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and accounts require you to be 18 or older. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
